Clearing – Net Casting

1) Pick an imaginary place for this clearing that feels good to you. Here are some examples:
– On a lush open meadow
– In a big bubble under water
– On top of a mountain
You want it to be a place where you  release your “junk” to be carried away by your chosen animals.

2) Net Casting, 4 nets – using an underwater setting as an example…
– Imaging yourself in a big bubble sinking down into a beautiful sea cove.

3) Breathing: With each net, first breath in through your nose. As the net moves over/through you, breathe out through pursed lips.

The first net
:
Imagine a big net with large holes dropping down over you collecting all those things outside of you that you have little or no control over…  (politics? weather?). Once the net has passed down below you, see a friendly Orca grabbing the net and swimming away.

The second net has medium holes. As it drops down over you, it touches your skin collecting all the expectations others have of you. Duties and obligations. When the net moves below you, see a dolphin grabbing the net and swimming away.

The third net
has small holes. As it drops down it moves just inside your skin collecting all the negative self talk, emotional debris and unrealistic self expectations.  As the net drops below you, see a big group of crabs grabbing the net and scuttling away.

The fourth net
has a fine, fine mesh. When this net drops over you it moves slower than the others, collecting all subconscious thoughts and images you carry that are not helpful to you. Stuff you don’t know you are carrying. As the net drops below you, see flurry of shrimp grabbing the net and dragging it away.

4) Offer gratitude to your animal helpers. See yourself rising to the surface and returning to your Safe Place.

If your Clearing takes place above ground, imagine the nets rising from below you and being carried away by your chosen animal.
